Although many events can be covered well with one camera, many require
more -- for instance, there may be several speakers from different locations, a
panel discussion, question and answer
locations, remote video feeds,
theatrical events such as plays or concerts.
Multiple
cameras give a production a very polished look. You can even add graphics while recording live on tape--or send
the images to projection screens for large audiences. One camera is okay, but
more than one allows for different camera angles such as close ups , action shots and audience reactions. Multiple cameras allow for better coverage
of the event. Its as simple as that.
These
are live events, and there is no margin for error because there is no chance to
go back and correct a missed or faulty shot.
Live event taping with multiple cameras requires professionals at every
